Are you new to Microsoft Project, or have you been using it for a while but feel as if you're not getting the most out of it?
I've been using Microsoft Project for over 20 years and I've been qualified in Project Management (PRINCE2) since 2003.
I use the tried-and-tested approach of explanation, joint/individual hands-on exercises, and repetition to ensure the ingraining of learning.
I deliver face to face training in workplaces, or remotely.
I taior each session to client's requiremnets ensuing the most critical learning is undertaken before the nice-to-haves.
Microsoft Project is a fantastic tool to aid with planning, monitoring and managing changes in the projects we all have in our businesses.
Unlike its companion MS Office tools, where training availability is immense, MS Project training can be hard to source, and even then, it can fall into several pitfalls.
❌ Training is 'by the book' - everybody must follow the pre-printed training no matter what they actually need or don't need to learn.
❌ Training is by tick-box - the mere mention of a feature sees the flipchart entry for that feature ticked off as 'Covered'.
❌ Training is for the exam - A certificate of attendance or a new qualification doesn't help if you still don't know how to apply the new knowledge back in the workplace.
My training approach addresses these three issues:
✅ My training is bespoke and pre-agreed with you before a course. The examples & group discussions on the day are relevant to your business, company and people.
✅ Hands-on exercises, both joint and individual, are used to ensure an understanding of the software, not just a recall of it.
✅ The ability to USE the knowledge learned is paramount; earlier knowledge is used and built upon through the session to embed learning further.
